Monoposto Racing Club has confirmed the eligibility of FIA Formula 4 Gen 1 machinery within its championship, reinforcing a clear and cost-controlled route for modern single-seaters to compete in the UK. Approved cars must comply with FIA F4 Technical Regulations and remain in original championship specification, subject to Monoposto technical regulations.
Technical Director, Terry Clark: “The introduction of these F4 chassis is a natural fit for Monoposto. Our championship has always thrived on competitive mixed multiclass racing where different generations of single-seaters share the same track and every driver has something to fight for. Adding F4 cars to our 2000 class brings more modern performance and technical relevance into a grid that already celebrates diversity in engineering and driver ambition. It reinforces Monoposto as the place where single seaters belong.”
Eligible chassis include the Mygale M16-F4 and Tatuus T014 F4 from the 2014–2021 British and FIA F4 championships, along with the Mygale M12-SJ, M13-SJ and Tatuus FA010.
This provides owners of FIA F4 Gen 1 cars with a straightforward, regulated pathway into Monoposto competition, maintaining technical consistency while supporting accessible, high performance single-seater racing.
