Please find attached the agenda for the Club’s AGM being held on the 14^th Feb at Staverton Park, Daventry together with a copy of the Club’s 2014 accounts.

As in previous years, the AGM will be followed by a forum to discuss Monoposto ideas.  If anyone has any topics for discussion could they please contact me so that I can list them in advance.

In the evening we have the annual awards ceremony and dinner at the same venue…. Some tickets still available.

The 2015 Tiedeman Trophy Mono Championship dates have been announced and for 2015 will expand to a 6 race format held over three meetings.

The Motor Sports Association are making steps to make HANS devices (aka Frontal Head Restraints) mandatory for circuit racing, with a two tier process starting in 2015 and continuing into the 2016 season.

For the 2015 season, drivers of single seaters built from year 2000 onwards will need to have a HANS device or similar.

Drivers may also need to consider replacing their helmets with ones with HANS attachment posts.   Some helmet manufacturers offer a service to retro-fit HANS posts to some helmet designs that require drilling. If you have pre-drilled holes, you may be able to buy the posts to fit yourself.   Do not drill your own helmet.

10.1(e) An FIA approved FHR device, fitted in accordance with FIA regulations, is:

(i) Mandatory for the driver of a Single Seater Racing Car manufactured after 01/01/2000

(ii) Recommended for the driver in all other forms of Circuit Racing. This will be a mandatory requirement from 1st January 2016, with the exception of Period Defined Vehicles which will remain as a recommendation.

The MRC are pleased to announce their provisional 2015 calendar.    This is still provisional and whilst you may pencil the days in your diary, dates are subject to change.    There may be additional non-championship dates added.

The Monoposto AGM & Annual Awards Dinner are being held on Saturday 14th February 2015 at the venue which proved to be successful last year, Staverton Park, just outside Daventry. As usual we will hold the AGM in the afternoon followed in the evening by the Awards Dinner; widely regarded as the most sought after social occassion in the motorsport calendar. The Driver of the Day award is given to the driver who makes up the most positions during the race from his or her qualifying position, but who does not feature in a podium position.

The Monoposto SUNBAC Nova Award continues in 2013, and the winning novice drivers will win some race entries for the 2015 season.

Each eligible driver, ie one bearing the novice cross, accrues class points towards the SUNBAC Nova Award as per current Monoposto regulations.

This score is then multiplied by the number of class starters, and then divided by 10.
