2025 Monoposto Championship

2025 Championships will be contested over 15 races held over 6 weekends.

CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

CHAMPIONSHIP PERMIT: CH2025/R092(C)

RACE FORMAT:
Most meetings for 2024 will be held over a race weekend with 2 or 3 races per meeting.   Oulton Park and Brands Hatch GP will be a single day meeting. Qualifying sessions and races are typically 15 minutes long, with some exceptions at 20 minutes per session.

Some meetings will have one grid which will have an impact on the number of competitiors able to race. Reserve lists will operate, and naturally the earlier an entry is lodged, the higher the chance of securing your position on the grid.

Twin Header - 2 qualifying sessions & 2 races
Double Header - 1 qualifying session & 2 races
Triple Header - 1 qualifying session & 3 races

On Double and Triple Headers, grid for race 2 is based on fastest laps of race 1, with race 3 using race 2's fastest laps

BACKGROUND

The Monoposto Racing Club was founded in 1958 and held its first race at Brands Hatch in 1959.  From modest beginnings, the Club celebrates its 66th racing year in 2025, and is now the largest single seater motor racing club in the UK, regularly putting out two grids of cars

Its original ethos remains true now, to provide cost-effective single seater racing.

A 2025 season preview will be ready shortly.

TROPHIES

Class winners and podium finishers (subject to number of starters) receive a trophy.    An additional trophy is awarded for the "Driver of the Day", and this is usually awarded to the driver who made up the most positions between qualifying position and race finishing position.

For 2025, this award is sponsored by Watson Wheatley Financial Systems.

2025 CALENDAR

15 rounds, with 12 scores to count.

Additionally there are three further one-day race meetings  (6 races in total) which form the 2025 Tiedeman Trophy Championship

SILVERSTONE CUP

This season Monoposto visits Silverstone three times, and uses each of its major configurations - the southern International Circuit using the F1 Pits, the full Grand Prix Circuit (from the National Pits) and as part of the Tiedeman Trophy, the National Circuit.

A special trophy is up for graps for the person who scores the most points over the six races.  Points (for this trophy only) will be given for qualifying and a bonus point structure as per Tiedeman rules depending on the class size.

TECHNICAL REGULATION UPDATES

The 2025 regulations have been approved by Motorsport UK and can be found on the link on this page, or on the regulations form.     Note, many references have changed, these being mostly due to Motorsport UK switching from the old "Blue Book" to the new NCR format.

TATUUS F4 (GeN-1) ELIGIBLE FOR F3B

For the 2025 Monoposto Championship, the Mono F3B class will be extended to welcome the addition of the Tatuus T014 F4 chassis with Abarth 1400cc 414-F4 engine  running to the in-period FIA F4 requirements at min 40mm ride height. These will complement the Mygale F4 previously allowed and the preceding 2010-2013 Mygale and Tatuus cars will also be welcomed. This will enhance and strengthen our ability to provide cost effective, competitive single seater racing.
